New Brunswick Spring Festival & Bazaar: The 90s Are Back in Full Bloom
Spring is officially making its entrance in the most vibrant way possible.
On Saturday, April 18, 2026, Downtown New Brunswick will transform into a high-energy, open-air celebration as the New Brunswick Spring Fest & Bazaar takes over City Center. Produced by Asbury Park Bazaar in collaboration with New Brunswick City Center, this free street festival blends curated shopping, live entertainment, food, and interactive experiences with a nostalgic 90s twist.
This isn’t just an event you stop by, it’s one you stay for.
A Full Day of Shopping, Music, and Community
From 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM, visitors can explore a thoughtfully curated lineup of local vendors, artists, and small businesses. The Bazaar is known for elevating the vendor experience, and this event brings together a diverse mix of categories, including vintage, fashion, art, jewelry, home goods, and wellness.
Shoppers can browse everything from vintage finds at 201Retrokits and Gloria’s Closet Vintage, to handmade jewelry from Made by Ja and Lily Lough Jewelry, to creative goods like custom drinkware from JP Craft Lab and crochet pieces from Tea Crochet Studio.
The lineup also includes experiential vendors like Photojennic Nails and Preciosa Permanent Jewelry, offering interactive moments that go beyond traditional shopping. Guests can even tap into something more spiritual with intuitive readings from The Mystical Creative.
Come Hungry
The food and beverage offerings are just as exciting as the shopping.
Festival goers can enjoy refreshing fruit drinks from Bubbly Bae Fruit Refreshers, indulgent chocolate-dipped treats from Edible Arrangements Milltown, and creative drinks from Girly Pop Dirty Soda. For those who love bold flavors, Spotted Horse Provisions will be serving up artisanal pantry favorites.
In addition, local staples like Harvest Moon Brewery & Cafe and Jasmine’s Indian Fusion Restaurant will be part of the experience, giving visitors even more reasons to stay, eat, and explore.
Entertainment with a 90s Twist
The vibe of the day is all about nostalgia meets spring energy.
A live DJ will be spinning your favorite 90s hits throughout the event, creating a soundtrack that invites people to dance, shop, and fully immerse themselves in the experience. The celebration also includes a live performance by Who Brought the Dog, adding another layer of entertainment to the day.
Guests are encouraged to lean into the theme with the Best 90s-Themed Outfit Contest, making it a fun, interactive way to participate in the event.
More Than a Market
What sets the New Brunswick Spring Festival & Bazaar apart is the attention to experience.
Beyond shopping and food, the event features interactive elements for all ages, including henna art, caricature illustrations, and oversized games like giant Jenga and Connect Four. It’s designed to feel playful, social, and welcoming whether you’re coming with friends, family, or making it a date day.
For guests 21 and over, a dedicated area will feature brews and select food offerings, including a special celebration for Harvest Moon Brewery & Cafe’s 30th anniversary with 90s beer pricing, games, and giveaways.
The event will also celebrate New Brunswick Tomorrow’s 50th anniversary, adding a meaningful community milestone to the day’s festivities.
